Think about an idea.  Think about who you admire around this idea, in this field, and then ask them who they admire around this field.  You quickly build a constellation of quality people who are admired and respected.

Now, think of a project or a challenge you are currently working on.   Create an admiration map – and you have a whole new network of resources.   Added value?  You focused on the positive “value add” emotions…

Who is in your network?  Who do you want in your network?

AIM to have an even greater impact,
Camille

bigstockphoto_King_Sized_Bed_2747994_halfI love Urban Dictionary.com   Through a daily email, I learn the strangest “new words” – many of which me laugh and think more deeply.

Bedgasm: A feeling of complete and utter euphoria which peaks when climbing into bed at the end of an 18-hour workday, a long road trip or hours of extremely strenuous physical activity.

Nerd Person: kind of like speaking in the 3rd person, only different. It is more like speaking in another voice, the nerd voice, geekspeak, technotalk...

I love this site: it makes me laugh, learn, and reconnect to our changing world.  www.urbandictionary.com

What words and experiences are you creating?

AIM for an even higher vocabulary,

Camille

Overwhelmed and Overloaded

bigstockphoto_Stack_Of_Lap_Top_Computers_168827_smallAs businesses become more global, I have been fascinated by virtual collaborations.
To be effective within a distributed workforce – virtual leaders must be authentic, agile & aligned.  And this gets consistently harder as the speed of business increases.  Invariably, I hear that people are overwhelmed and overloaded.
As workforces become more remote, associates become more detached, more disengaged.   Sense of accomplishment and satisfaction wanes.  Businesses suffer.  Employees suffer.  Relationships suffer.
We need new strategies to connect, to care, to collaborate.

What are you doing?  How are you innovating?  What steps are you taking?

AIM for new strategies,
Camille

waterfrontBe the change you want to see in the world

Powerful, often cited quote.  How are you living this?  What do you want to see in the world?   What actions are you taking to move this forward?

Get clear on the change you want to see.  Get specific on all the different options, strategies, and outcomes.   What are the 15 ways that you can live this change into existence?  The more powerful your conviction, the more able you will bet to create opportunities to live this.

What is your change?

AIM to change the world,

Camille

The Circle of Giving

I recepassionate_speakerntly volunteered to speak with an innovative Social Entrepreneurship program at Georgetown University.   They are a dynamic, fresh-eyed group of freshmen.  I learned more from them than they possibly could have given me.  Although in theory I was the volunteer, I received business ideas, professional photos, and an opportunity to meet Alan Webber, founder of Fast Company Magazine.
At a young age, these “kids” understand that in life the more you give, the more you get..  The secret of living is giving.

How are you giving?

AIM to recognize the gifts in everyone,
Camille
