small19We all have rules for how to live.   Some are conscious, some are inherited, some are stealth, and some we aren’t even aware of.   They can be small (what happens to the toothpaste cap) or big (how love must be expressed).

What, you think you don’t have any?   Ask your partner…. They “sneak” up at the craziest times.

What are your rules?

AIMing for fewer rules,
Camille

Techno-faux pas

small14It happened.  I was at a memorial service, anticipating a great tribute to my late uncle and instead – we heard a diatribe about turning off our cell phones.   Now really, do we need to be reminded when we go to church?  Believe it or not – we do.   We weren’t even at the homily when a phone rang.  Worse yet, this person said “Hold on,” disrupted everyone in his pew and exited the church to take the call…

What other techno-faux pas have you realized?

AIMing to be Techno-appropriate,
Camille

Natural Magnifiers

real1Relationships have a way of naturally magnifying life.    When our personal relationships are going well… Communication is more exciting; Memories are brighter; Food tastes better.

And when things aren’t going well … well, we all know how that feels.

We all want to be loved, and we all have people we love.  Sometimes it is hard to invest in relationships – things that would naturally magnify so many other aspects of life?

small6Technology was designed to increase comfort, to improve our quality of life, to make life easier...

Take a moment to consider – where does technology add to your life?
Where does it detract from your life?

Too often, we get moving down a path without fully understanding and considering the costs and consequences.  Over the coming months, AIM Leadership will be providing specific tools for reclaiming your quality life!  Get ready to appreciate and be even more efficient with technology.

Continue to send us your love/hate relationships with technology ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

AIMing to be even more intentional,
Camille

Communication and Technology

small4People know it, and yet they don’t want to admit it.
They know what to do and we simply don’t want to do it.
Technology is getting in the way of relationships, and yet they don’t want to change.

Take a moment think about it.  How often do you let a phone call, txt message or email interrupt a heartfelt, purposeful conversation?

How do you leverage technology and relationships?

AIMing to connect even more,
Camille
